I like the gel better. The liquid would run down the shaft and make a mess.
There are recommended strand counts based on material but some bows do best with more or less then what is recommended. I don't think you'll find this info printed anywhere though. Most just comes...

Swapped mine to a net seat and it was way better then the factory torture chamber seat it came with.

I would agree with taking it to a shop or someone that can help. If bows are too heavy or too long they just won't work. It's not worth risking someone's safety.
I would try adding 1/2 twists at a time to your string until you get it to line up. Be sure to put a few shots through after each adjustment so that the twists work through the string....

What will the purpose be for the case? I use an aurora when I travel and a soft skb if I'm shooting local. Each work well.

I'd call that a little wear but I'm guessing it will get worse over time. If those are the old cams you need to get them changed out.
