Good choice....the Hoyt Carbon bows are real nice.
292 FPS..........27" draw length.....stock strings
What is the difference in them?
I think it was Brownell S4.
I know I had a couple of Buss cables break with S4 on Single cam bows back in the day.
Pro Edge Elite, Maxxis 35 w/Z3 cams, 03 Protec, Ultratec, Alphaburner.
I used Back Country and it calculates my Pro Edge Elite at 327 fps.
But it doesn't matter what it is to me, I am very happy with the bow.
That is right on with my Pro Edge...27" 61# 306grains, peep and loop 289 fps.
Shot thru a Pro Chrono with light kit.
27" draw 61#s 306 grains 289 fps, peep and loop
And that is with a Pro Chronograph with light kit.
Mine is about 1/8" long after put into specs. #1 cam 27" draw.
I really like my Pro Edge for 3D, getting pretty good speed from it also.
What about Leupold BX2 Cascades 10x42's?
I can get them for $234
Good deal or not for 3D?
Sweet bow huh...
I love my Maxxis 35/Z3 also. I used 2.5s for a 27" draw, mine draws about 57-58lbs 6 7/8" brace (no grip)
34.5" a/a and shoots sweet.
I've also put a cable slide on mine, got...
Thanks for the pic Ranklam22, I have one ordered just like that in Left Hand....still waiting.
I have a 27" draw length and I like my bows between 33 and 35 inches for both 3D and hunting.
It looked like a Hoyt Spyder or Faktor. I didn't pay enough attention to it to be for sure.
I will be shooting 3D tomorrow if the wind don't blow the targets away :)
OCD out of control LOL....
I have 452x on one of my bows but when I build another set it will be Xcel for sure.
BTW I have seen many pictures of your strings on here...they are super nice.
I am probably the only person that does not like 452x, too much fuzz for some reason.
I would rather use Xcell or XS2.
Totally agree with this. I have a Maxxis 35 with Z3 cams. Its a great bow.
For 3D it shoots a 320 grain arrow at 284 fps. 27"/58#
Buy it... I don't think you will regret it.
Congrats on your new bow!
Jefferson County Shoot?
I missed a 3D shoot at Saline Valley today. Hopefully I will catch the next one.
Nothing better than Ivory Soap and a Thirdhand Puller.
I bet that was a shocker to go from a Formula 3D to an Element because those Formula 3Ds were HEAVY.
I had 3 different Pro Formula's in the day. They were good shooting bows and fast.
27" is my draw length also...I ordered a Jet Black Edge with #1 cam.
GregBS is right.
I am the same as you so I went to a Left handed bow.
It was kinda tough for a while but it didn't take long for it to feel natural.
Nice review...I shot a couple of the CS 30's and they were both great. The new Z5 cams
should appeal to a lot of hunters that want more of a locked in valley. The finish on them
were better than...
YES...plenty of them. The more you read the more you learn.
