count me in.
I sent you an email some time back. Don't know if I was supposed to get a reply then or when the dvds are ready. Just want to make sure you got my info. Thanks.
N7XW (Jon Knodel)...
What part of the state are you in? Near Grays Harbor by chance?
No problem with the stock string and cable on my Brute over the last year of shooting, very accurate and consistent. I'd stick with them until they need replaced. Just my opinion though.
Camera on the bow - not even legal in my state!
Thanks for the info, I'll have to give it a try.
Maybe I missed it somewhere, but I still don't see how long the warranty period is.
My Ez Green has not bound up but does make a not-so-nice grinding sound about mid way through its range. You can also feel it in the handle. I don't use it hardly at all (personal use, not a shop)....
Great advice all around. Thanks guys. I think I'll get Viper's book and start studying more. Any thoughts on my longbow string grooves? I'll try to get some pictures posted tonight.
Thanks guys. Looks like I've got a lot to figure out. I'm quickly learning that traditional bows are a whole 'nother ballgame. I'm having to relearn what I thought would apply from compound...
I think I will. Thanks.
I've got a lot to think about on arrows. I made all my measurements and plugged them into OT2 to get correct arrow spine, length and bh weight. I came up with Easton Legacy 2016 (500 spine) at...
This sounds like a great approach. Thank you.
Is that the one by Viper1?
Any thoughts on Byron's book "Become the Arrow"?
Thanks guys, I appreciate the help. I may have overbowed myself to begin with (50#) but measuring my dw last night, I am at 44.5# and 40# is minimum to hunt with. So I don't think I'll be dropping...
I'm trying to figure out my anchor with the recurve and longbow.
My wingspan divided by 2.5 gives 26.5" and that's what all my compounds are set up for. The draw length on all of them feels great...
I'm going to practice as much as possible, tune, retune and generally tinker with my bows and start getting into traditional archery!
Welcome from another Washington native. I just got into traditional archery myself. What part of the state are you in?
Thanks again guys. I can't wait to get these setup, tuned and start shooting.
Welcome to ArcheryTalk. By the way, this thread is 8 years old.
That is great advice, thank you both. I will setup both bows this way and see how thick the sideplates need to be. I'm really looking forward to getting these setup and start shooting. Thanks...
Thanks for the response, appreciate it.
Well, I've got a new recurve and getting ready to order a new longbow - Samick Sage and Samick Trailblazer (starting cheap just incase I don't get hooked as well as I did on compounds). Now I need...
That's what I have been doing until now.
Wow, thanks for all the responses. After reading through them all, I think the best thing to do is go with what feels most comfortable and not to worry about what it does to my DL. I need to take...
Nice to hear. I am going to experiment a little and see what feels the best and works the best. Thanks DB.
