Yeah, is it stiff/durable enough for the purposed use? I have some transparent ABS left i could use for a similar purpose..
Take a look at this:
- edit - oops, wrong link. Looking for the correct one.

Unfortunately some pics are missing and i have no copy.
I wrote it...
Congrats to you, what a beautiful bow you got!
Very kind to point out how nice this giveaway was.
Now that this thread came back to live:
Any chances to see something from Merlin again in the future? I always wanted to own one, but it sure was hard to get one... Any information available?
So, got some used GTX no 3 Cams today. Bow was previously with Cam 1/2 at 50lbs max using Cam size 5.
After calculating new string and cable lengths the bow now has a peak weight of 52 lbs. The...
And that is the point where Aerovane 2/3 are different, by changing the texture within the vane and therefor also the surface area. You are right, there is no magic, there is only physics.
+- a few
Thanks to you for the suggestions. If i go with the GTX-Cam, than it will be a switch from size 5 to size 2, so draw weight increase could be in an acceptable range. I will check the deflection of...
Completely off topic:
Well, now you can prepare for the next time and get us even better stuff. ;)
there is this guy which really likes my old Hoyt 38 Pro. Unfortunately his drawlength is way shorter than the range of the Cam, so we need to swap Cams. It is quite hard to get old and unused...
Please get us some pictures when it arrives. ;)
Very well made to the OP. Mine looks a bit less perfect, but works great. Without Sugru the angle of the grip was just too steep for me (PCEXL).
I use it also as a sort of dampening on my sidebar....
Not that impressive:
Some takedown recurve bows (KAP something)
Martin RazorX, Martin RazorX
Martin ShadowCat, Martin ShadowCat
Wow, the quality looks like a huge improvement to me. The finish might not be perfect, but the whole looks are really nice, like the chamfered corners and so on!
I'd always take the ScepterV, but apparently the ShadowCat has way more fans than the Scepter has, so there must be something to it.
That bow in a nice matte anodized color with glossy limbs... Yeah, i could imagine that...
Der Kisser ist bewusst offen um ihn auf die Sehne zu stecken, danach muss man ihn natürlich einwickeln. ;)
I guess this discussion went a bit off topic.
Wow, that's a nice one.
Things happen. All is fine as long as useful information is conveyed in the long term.
You clearly misread what i was stating. There is no formula, it is a step by step process. Everybody could write it down, there is no ingenuity to it. He just already did it, so why spend time to do...
Nicht kleben sondern mit etwas Sehnengarn oder Wickelgarn einwickeln.
Oder ganz auf den Kisser verzichten und stattdessen direkt aus etwas Wickel/Sehnengarn einen Knoten an der richtigen Stelle...
N&B has a pretty nice step by step process to determine a good distribution of the mass between front and rear, as well as how far to the side. Should be easy to find using the search. or he will pop...
More weight to the stab ends means less effect of torque due to leverage/inertia. If he can hold it.. that is fine.
The mass makes only sense to the point at which you can still make use of it. If...
No, but i did not miss it yet. Not that i am moving my Scope at all, it just stays where it is without any lock feature.
The Axcel 3000 is really nice. Can only compare to a Shibuya and a SureLoc i have, i'd always buy the Axcel again.
The Achieve is quite expensive and i do not need the new features. If you have...
Look for a 250 spine. But you might want to add some weight to the tail...
Wow, that is a nice Giveaway. :)
