Yep. Awesome workout.
Good question. Possibly, kind of why I asked about studies. At what point is it excess?
What's an illegal dosage?
I wasn't talking about some 17 year old kid someone used in an example. I'm not looking for anecdotal evidence. I'm looking for actual facts. I don't need "I knew guy...
Whose talking about taking 100x the normal dose. Your example is abuse of AAS. I don't think anyone has advocated that abusing AAS is ok and won't hurt you. Hell take 100x the normal dose of Advil...
Steroids are not illegal. Having steroids without a prescription is illegal. But I assume my your smoking example you don't have any links to actual studies?
Can you post a link to those facts? Everything I can find is either speculation of stated as fact but has no actual facts to back positions. I would be interested in reading some actual studies.
Very impressive. Have you seen any of the video on CJ Cummings?
It does make it more of a decline bench then flat, most people can decline more then flat however as much as she is arching he ROM is cut in half at least.
It doesn't help you lift more, it greatly reduces the range of motion allowing you to touch your chest and make a successful lift per meet requirements.
Klokov posted a video on his facebook of him push pressing 496lbs. Was very impressive.
My daughters school started a team last year. I helped at practice and will be the coach this year.
Can you expand on why bodyfat %'s above 15% increase the estrogen related side effects?
There's tons of articles, blogs, facts, stats, ect.. that say crossfit isn't bad for you. If your stupid about what you do you can get hurt doing any program.
What in the world are you talking about? You made a blanket statement about crossfit based solely on your experience at a crappy gym then claimed it to be fact of why crossfit as a whole is bad for...
You claimed crossfit wasn't good for the body then stated just look at the facts. I wouldn't consider one gym full of idiots and trainers that don't have a clue being facts to support your point....
I would argue that most on cholesterol meds have high cholesterol because of bad life style choices. If they would eat right and exercise they wouldn't need meds. Instead they take the easy route....
Couldn't the same be said for just about any meds out there? How many have developed some problem due to cholesterol meds, or BP meds, or women that developed issues later in life from taking birth...
For those that have or are using. How/where did you get info on what cycles to use that you trusted? I mean there is a ton of internet experts out there but how do you know what to trust?
Knee pain probably has more to do with form then it does depth.
I suck at singles butt can kill doubles.
double over until fail then go with the mixed grip. I use a hook grip for olympic lifts but not as much with deadlift. My grip isn't what is limiting me on my 1rm so haven't seen a reason to go with...
I go as deep as my mobility will allow.
I would guess that a very small percentage of gyms us HQ programming. Mine was using CrossFit New England's progamming. Now they do their own. And I agree, there are definitely awful boxes out there....
It's not the movements programmed that are the main issue. It's the movement at some of the weights prescribed that are the main negative. High rep snatches for time isn't that big a deal at low...
I'll be the first to line up and point out the negatives. But everything you or anyone mentions as negatives applies to every single gym and program out there. No blinders here and I don't care for...
Pretty much nailed it. Most of this thread and others about crossfit in here are idiots spouting crap they don't have a clue about.
I think every boxes on ramp is different. I would assume you should expect instruction on all the movements you will use in crossfit.
Thats Nick Mangold's sister. He's a lineman for the NY Jets (or was, not sure if still playing).
