Make me an offer, folks.
I am facing some tough financial issues and need to shake up some cash. Hate to sell these two bows but got to. Here we have a Parker BuckBuster 175 that I bought about 4 years ago. Less than 150...
Great info! Thanks. I think I did myself a favor by marking all my arrows.
The two other main-stream bow mags.... Bowhunter and Bowhunting.... one is more "liberal" as they do a lot of xbow articles and features. The other sticks more with traditional archery stuff and...
Not sure. I shoot out to 30 yards but I do not think I have tried beyond that distance. At my standard 20 yards, the arrows are touching. I'd like to keep it that way.
Hmmm.... never would have given this a thought. I will try this!! Thanks!!!
Range was 20 yards. They were an inch or more out of group. They are the standard green carbons from Parkers, not the Red Hot arrows.
I had swapped scopes out a few months ago on the Buckbuster. I upgraded to the lighted recticle scope which I like so far. So yesterday I am doing some fine tuning sighting in when the wind died...
I've handled these bows and they balance nice but also seem heavy for what they are. If/when I buy another x-bow, I will take a look at these bows.
I've gotten Crosbow off the newsstand. Good read.
I haven't been to Cabelas for years. Just having their fall catalogs around is dangerous in my house!
Lots of great replies, but I say this: I would want the crossbow that I have owned & shot the longest! The one I am most familiar with and comfortable with.
For those that are into guns as well,...
Prayers to you and your family. My father turned the big six-zero this weekend. Couldn't imagine what you may be dealing with.
I myself am torn between the Gale Force and the Tornado F4. So do I want the AR style butt stock, or not?
I have two Parkers and my local shop I bought them from told me they had already registered them.... nothing to do on my part.
Thanks for the replies.... and the pics!
Pretty funny, so far.
Yes, really. A few years ago I took my son to his Hunter's Safety Course (Friday night and all day saturday). A verbal fight broke out among the fathers waiting outside the classroom. It was over how...
Good point. I am looking specifically at the Burris FastFire series. Its a really low-profile sight. Its considered a red-dot of sorts. It does take batteries.
I wouldn't be against some type of...
Let's just stick to the opening post, okay? Is Horton toast or not.
(down off my soap box I go...)
Just settle down, buddy. We're all here to work towards a common goal of promoting crossbows for all.
Its bad enough that vertical bow hunters and xbow people can't stand to be in the same room...
I am getting ready to pull the rigger on my next bow and after all I have read, its gonna be an Excal. I want to switch it up a little and try non-magnified "halo" type sights, open sights or pin...
Dumb dumb? I hear that from my 5 y/o daughter!!
One of the better family "investments" I ever made was a Parker Challenger Youth bow. All my boys enjoy shooting it and they may even use it for hunting in a year or two. I am small framed enough...
Thanks for the replies. I also shoot 'hogs with a hollow point sub-sonic .22 LR. I also own a .17 HMR that I really like. I just want to do some pre-season hunting with my son with the bows.
My factory Parker arrows are made by CE. Shoot as good (or better!) than I can.
I never thought about game laws here in PA. For big game, we have requirements that dictate a cutting edge and so forth. But I'm not sure much is said about small game and varmints. Gotta look into...
For shooting groundhogs this spring and summer, what arrow set-up should I use? The locals tell me judos would be best but I may not always get a clean kill. Others tell me they use cheap broadheads...
They sent me a sample issue over the winter. I offered to pay but they mailed it for free. I've been picking it up at the local grocery store as of late. I should subscribe, but haven't yet. Content...
I had one of those lights. Foolishly sold it about a year back. I had it on my .17 HMR. It was a sweet light! Kinda forgot about that option of mounting on top of my scope.
