I'm ready! season starts the 15 of Sept! I have 8 pieces of private land to hunt scattered throughout the county and 3 thoroughly scouted public lands that receive min pressure during bow.....

We are setting up stands starting today... saw some biguns already

Sounds like everyone is pumped and ready. Was going to out and practice today but after what happen this morning I think I'm going to be laid up for a week. To make a long story short, we almost got killed this morning in a hay wagon filled with hay. Tractor lost control going down hill and well you know what happened next. Was very nasty and scary. Broke the wagon in more than one way. All is ok and doing good. Last time I'm getting on a hay wagon. I won't let this stop me from hunting. Hope we all do good this year.

Hate to do this, but I need to back out on the contest. A few things have come up and being part of 2 other teams and running this contest, I feel it would be best for me to find a replacement for me on team Racks.
So, without further adue........please welcome your new team mate ArchrywAttitude!

Good luck to everyone and I will still be around posting y'all's scores and everything. Stay in touch and lets all have a great season!!!!

Our season starts Oct 18th. Can't wait to get started. Been doing some squirrel hunting just for practice. Those little things are hard to get, I keep shooting and keep missing lol. But I have seen plenty of deer and turkey while hunting. So hopefully I didn't scare them all off when deer season starts.
    You ever try squirrel hunting?

    First buck with a bow.....

Well I won't put this in the scoring thread, I hope to get another buck but this is my first buck with a bow and I am so excited!!!!!

He is just a spike but a monster to me. I made the shot and with hubbs help we found him, he didn't go 80 yards from my stand. I even field dressed him all by myself with hubbs supervising. Pretty proud!!

Awesome deer. Thats cool that you did the field dressing by yourself. Can't wait to see more pics. How much did he weigh do you know?

I went out today with my better half to go bird hunting. Guess who I saw. Yep you guessed it. The buck I shot. Yes he is still alive. I didn't see any arrow as his left side was away from me. But the rack and everything was the same. So I'm thinking it was him. Your buck has a bigger body the the buck I took a shot at. Still a good looking deer thats for sure, even if its a spike.

Well, you now know he is out there and just keep your eye out and maybe you can get a shot at him again.
