I vote pecker wreckers. I have a doghouse blind and a short draw length so it works nice for me. I have a couple mouth calls that i use in conjunction with a sweet little liar box call
I wish I was hunting Florida. I'm headed there next week for spring break and I'm more than a little disappointed that I can't afford to hunt while I'm there.
No different states for me. It's too far to drive to a good hunting state. I'm too close to New York and New Jersey and their laws are so arse backwards I wouldn't wanna risk it. I'll stick with pa longbeards
I've never really had any success with them. I don't do a lot of run-n-gun style hunting and when I do I'm going after a bird that I either saw or heard, so I don't have a real need for them.
I use a crow call during the day when birds have shut up. Other than that I like to know where the birds I'm hunting are going to be coming off the roost or set up where they are roosting in the evening.
I did it last night when we got the 6th vote it is on the official team name thread under turkey contest under league play on the tapatalk app not sure where on full PC version
Scouting trip tomorrow WOOOOO. I'm pumped! Saw a flock of about 30 last night on my way to soccer practice with a few strutters.
Now that I mention that, I feel like I haven't really formally introduced myself... My name is Drew. I am a 17 year old from lincoln, nebraska. I enjoy walleye fishing, deer hunting, swimming, and soccer, but my favorite thing in the world is hunting turkey's! This will be my 6th year hunting them and I have 8 or nine to my name so far (5 with a bow).
I shoot an elite answer, and I will get pics up a little later
My name is nick I'm 34 a marine vessel engineer from parsons TN this is my 6th year turkey hunting but always bow hunted deer since 11 to 23 with a break due to arm injury but been back into archery last few years 2nd year bowhunting turkey since my father in law introduced to turkey hunting been obsessed with it since I saw my first strutter at 20 yds was so torn up I missed lol
Got numerous birds on camera and watch often from the back porch can't wait to get home and check the cameras in a few days and more scouting
Name is Adam, I'm 28 from a small town in western NC. Married with a 3 year old daughter and 6 month old son. I teach carpentry at a local high school and coach football as well. This will be my 13th year chasing long beards. I'll also be headed out in the morning for a scouting trip and hopefully will bring back some footage to upload . I'll be hunting with my Elite Hunter..
I'm Brad. I'm 22 and a senior civil engineering major at Ohio State. This will be my 6th year turkey hunting and 2nd with a bow. I was able to call nice toms in for everyone I hunted with last spring, but couldn't seal the deal for myself. I had about 5-10 long beards hang up around 30-40 yards over the course of the season and finished up with just a bearded hen and a jake. That's why I invested in the DSD's to try to get the birds those last 20-30 yards. I also managed to get permission on an awesome piece of ground for this spring. It's a guy about 30 min. from the house that is a deer outfitter with a couple thousand acres of ground. Best thing is he doesn't have anyone turkey hunting on him and I will have sole permission!!
