    Best Bow Carrying Sling

Anyone tried one of these bow carrying sling out there ?

I am not referring to the wrist sling, but the ones allow the shooter quick and quiet access to the bow and ready to draw and release.

The one I am looking for must not tangled up with the cams or the cables, allows the bow to be carried on your back, but instantly ready to shoot without having to untie, or loosen any buckles.

    Low tech

I'm sure this is a little bit too low tech for you and it isn't "instant," but it is pretty quick.

I just picked one up for my son today. I use a $1.38 3' bungie cord. I have been able to go from having the bow on my back to shooting very quickly. The plastic hooks sit in the cams and the stretch of the bungie make it pretty comfortable to carry on your back and very stress on the cams.

I have never had a problem with any pressure on the cams. It slips out of the cams very fast.

I also use the Primos Bow Sling and love it. I only use it when riding into or out of a area that I want to hunt. Other than that my bow is in my hands ready to hunt.

I use the Primos sling but that bunjie cord idea sounds pretty good. Might have to try that.

    Balcom

is the best hands down. You can sling your bow loaded, hook up your release and "quick" draw. Or, you can lock it on for climbing, pulling arrows, or anything that involves two hands.

I have a primos type sling for transport, but it comes off when I hunt. The Balcom is ALWAYS on the bow.

This is one of my next planned archery purchases. It sounds very cool. Unfortunately it doesn't look like I can find anywhere to buy it online.

I have been using the Primos sling, but that Balcom looks like a good idea.
There's a guy selling a similar type in the classifieds. Using a crooked horn bino type harness or something.
Idabow- with the Balcom, does the rollergaurd version install easily to the AX?

I have a Primos and it works, but what is much better is the Eberlestock X1 pack. These are the bomb.

All my Balcoms are pre AX, ie cableguard mounts. I haven't been able to try the roller guard mount yet, due lack of money. It may or may not work, as rollerguard mount is designed for Mathews, and they have a thinner roller quard.

In the mean time I have taken the cableguard mount, and used it on a 3/8" hitch pin! Ran the sling cord through the hitch pin hole, and tied a length of cord through the cableguard. The attatchment is reverse from normal, and not as efficient (read fast), for engage/disengage of the sling, but it works securely none the less.
