I've got an AlphaMax32 and have been pretty happy with it. I have always put Winner's Choice strings on after wearing out the stock string. I actually was very happy with the Fuse string, until I had an arrow blow-up and shred 6-7 strands on the bus cable...I'm just thankful I'm not digging carbon outta my arm and hand. So anyhow, my shop replaced everything with a WC. With the Fuse string I was maxed out, pulling 72 lbs...with the WC I'm still maxed out but only pulling 67 lbs. Anyone else have similar experience? Is this normal? Thanks
Your new string is obviously just a touch shorter than the stock Fuse string that was previously on your AM; it's got nothing to do with the WC string itself.
It's not the WC strings, it's the tune job. If you have 70# limbs, you should max out at 70#, or a pound or 2 more, not less. Tune it right and you'll be right back where you were before you changed strings.
Twist up the cables and have the cams timed and you'll be back in business.
