    Nice buck

nice spread and mass. What would that thing score 135-140 as an 8 point.

    State Trooper

My neighbor is a state trooper. I have been along with him on a few ride alongs. I was a bit concerned at we were doing 130 mph plus to get to a train that had collided with a semi truck at 3 am. We made it fine, but imagine the red mist that would of occured at the POI.

On a lighter note he said he keeps salvage tags with him so if I ever came across a roadkill that wasn't obliterated I could call him to get the carcass.

my wife and i were headed to work at about 3 am one morning a few years ago, and im about half asleep in the middle of october. it was cold that night, we were about five miles away from the house when i hear her say holy $*#& and i wake up because i figured a deer ran out in front of us. so i say what?? she says there is a deer dead in the middle of the road. i told her to turn around and let me see. we start getting closer to it and it is taking up almost a whole lane, it looked like a horse was laying there. so we pull up beside it and i get out and touch it, its still warm so i tell her to grab the antlers. the buck had been hit down the side and the main been tip had been broke off and the skull was cracked. this thing was massive for oklahoma. it took us about 10 min just to get it into our truck. i would have guess it to weigh around 250-275. we ate good for a while. still have the rack too. just J.B welded it back together. i dont like to let things go to waste.
