    QUEST PRIMAL Review

Got a chance to shoot the 2010 Quest Primal today. First off, these bows with the G-Fade finish are SWEET looking!!! The modular draw length adjustment should help sell more of these bows. It does need a press to change lengths. The bow was out of the box, with no tuning. I put a Tm hunter on it and tied on a loop. The draw felt very smooth with no humps or flat spots, and the wall is very solid with the dual posts. I did notice a slight cam lean, which I never noticed on the XPB. The bow was a 29/70. I also drew a 28/60 for comparison and it too also had the same very slight lean. It had very little hand shock with no jump whatsoever. This bow is very quiet. Shot it through the chrono twice with a 353 grain arrow. 312fps on both shots. That puts it about 323-325 IBO, with an advertised rating of 330-332. With a little tuning that should be about right. Overall I really liked this bow. Everything about the bow was at or above my expectations, other than the very slight cam lean. Should be a winner this year.

    Good review.
I cut my arrows twice and they're still too short.

My setup......E35, 60# with a TorqueLess Grip, JBK strings, QAD rest, Tru Glo sights, and a cheap, light weight stab.

newbie question: What is cam lean?

Very nice looking bow. Am in the market for a new bow. Will be interested in knowing how this one compares to all others for 2010. Would like to own something a little different from the masses, but don't don't want to forsake all things important. G5 certianly appears to be a very healthy company.
