Bowhunter Shoots Arrow Through Hand!
Hey guys, I apologize if this has already been posted on here, but I just thought you guys had to see this. I got these pics in an email a few weeks ago...Looks like this guy's arrow fell off the rest, but he shot anyways...Ended up shooting through his hand! I won't post the pic here because it is pretty gruesome, but if you wanna check it out, follow this link to my post on Wired To Hunt.

Yeah that is pretty gross. That happened about 2 years ago I believe and I think the arrow actually broke when shot and the back half went into his hand. . . that is why you see the carbon splinters. really reminds you to flex those carbon shafts on a regular basis to check for cracks.

Must have been a field point, would have been way worse with a broadhead.

If it looks like crap, smells like crap, tastes like crap, lies like crap; it’s more than likely a politician from Illinois.

Judging by the angle of the arrow it looks like he had pretty good bow hand position!

My son had exactly the same thing happen to him about two months ago. Fortunately, it was only a few slivers of carbon that went into the back of his left hand. Now he checks his arrows often by bending them a little to make sure that they are sound.

OMG that must have hurt BAD!!!!

Huh. One of the original pitches for carbon arrows was that they were either good or clearly broken -- no need to guess if they were bent. I suppose that myth was laid to rest a while ago. i think i'd rather shoot a bent alum than a carbon with a hidden fracture.

Maybe this guy was attempting the "catch the arrow trick," like they did on Mythbusters. If he was, I would say he caught it!

Definately not a Rage.
There was a guy at my local archery shop (known moron) that had an aluminum arrow slip off his rest at full draw. Instead of yelling out for help, he let the bow down with the arrow going slowly through the meaty web between the thumb and index finger. Off to the emergency room he went.

Good gosh... I would have been giving everyone a heart attack with my yelling and screaming!
