    Martin rage

I am looking to buy this bow. Do you folks think this would be a good starter bow? It is on sale for $300.
    Thanks

I have a Martin Rage and it is a nice bow. My dad now hunts with it.

However, before I can give you a blind recommendation I would ask how you plan to use it. If it is for 3D it is not the most forgiving bow in the world as it only has a 5 to 6" brace height.

For archery I would look for something with a 7 to 7 1/2" brace height. It will be more forgiving.

    Hope this helps some.

If I buy the rage I will use it for hunting elk and target shooting. Is 300 a good price? What would be a better martin bow for my needs?

Darin McCutheon won a Mustang car this year with his Rage. Great bow
