    Archery research (pse) history information

Looking for some info on the Archery Research single cam bows. I used to have one and liked it. Looking at getting a used one for a fishing set up. Doeing some research on past models and wondered if anyone out there had a fountain of knowledge on these bows. From what I understand the single cam (ram cam) has draw modules that are the same as some of your current Xforce models. Is this true. Also I noticed the 2005 AR34 model has a RAM PLUS cam. Is this the same as the RAM CAM, and does it use the same modules. Also It appears that the 2005 model AR34 single cam is much heavier than the 2006. Is this true. Also if someone has good price on a used bare bow AR31, AR32 or AR34 in 60lbs, shoot me a P.M.

I should have said the same as the current NRG cam.

The ram cam (single) was a draw lenght specific cam with no modules. The ram and a half cam had modules but not sure if they interchange with the NRG cam.

    True.
    Ram was DL specific.
Ram and a half and Ram Plus had mods.
I can't confirm being interchangeable however.

I loved that 34 ram.5 Blade. She was a shooter that bow.

But I got the pistols so I'll keep the pesos, yeah that seems fair.

    AR cams

RAM cam was DL specific and you need to change cam. That cam isn't combatible with other PSE cams. (1" increments)

The RAM plus cam DL is changed with draw modules that are the same as the origional PSE NRG single cam.

The RAM & 1/2 also has DL modules and I "THINK" are the same modules as the orig. NRG hybred cam system. I'm about 95% sure.

yes the cam modules are interchangeable with many pse models, like the xforce, but may not represent the same change in length. they are indicated as a #8 set or #9 set, etc. but not necessarily 28" or 29".
I have found this site http://www.pse-archery.com/img/support/PSEUserGuide.pdf to be a good source of info on the cams.

good luck. great bows. nice and smooth and ahead of their time imo.

I have an AR34 Ram 1/2. It has three draw posts, 29" and then a post to go up or down a half inch.

I'm not a big ebay fan, but if you do a quick search for archery research there is a dealer on there selling new ones pretty cheap.
