    Removing glue from Carbon Arrows?

Whats the best way to get the glue off you're carbon arrows besides scraping it off? Seems like they get pretty scratched up by scraping it off. Thanks for the help.

MEK works really well to cut through the glue and doesn't leave a residue like Acetone does.

I use acetone and after I'm done clean the shaft with soap and water.

so after you strip the fletching do you submerge the shaft in acetone for x amount of time or do you use a rag and elbow grease?

You can submerge the shaft but make sure you remove your nock. I prefer a rag dipped in acetone and elbow grease (no need to pull the nock). Finish up with a scotch brite and dish soap and rinse with hot water.

I recomend using a rag also. Put acetone on rag and wrap rag around arrow where glue is and hold it on there for a minute. Then while the glue is softened use a potato peeler (cheep one from the market works great). If it doesn't all come off...repeat
The potato peeler won't damage your arrows.
