First Mount, first hunting fight with wife....

Here is my mount from 09. Wife wanted it in the garage or spare bedroom....as you can see, there are just certain times when a man just has to put his foot down....Right smack over the fireplace..

I HOOK UP- BECAUSE IM A DADDY

Whoa whoa whoa, Miss Lippy. The part of the story I don't like is that the little boy gave up looking for the buck after an hour. He didn't put posters up or anything, he just sat on the porch like a goon and waited. That little boy's gotta think 'You shot a buck. You got a responsibility.' If your buck gets lost you don't look for an hour then call it quits. You get your butt out there and you find that damn buck!

    My wife's the opposite

Nice buck. My wife and I's first place together I suggested my mounts go in the guest bedroom too, but the first person to stay in our guest bedroom was my mother-in-law. My wife did not think that her mom would like to sleep in the room with my mounts on the wall, so she preferred them in the living room. A women's logic? Works for me and there it stays.

My wife and me argue over who's gets the better display spot.
"It has always seemed to me that any man is a better man for being a hunter. This sport confers a certain constant alertness, and develops a certain ruggedness of character that, in these days of to much civilization, is refreshing; moreover, it allies us to the pioneer past. In a deep sense, this great land of ours was won for us by hunters." Archibald Rutledge

It probably won't be your last fight over hunting. Just wait until your wife's best friend makes plans to get married on September 19th the same year you happen to draw a bull tag for Wyoming. Then you'll fight. It makes it way worse when your wife gets picked for the maid of honor.

Cool mount. Keep up the good work.

It's not until this fall and she's already making life miserable. I'm taking her to a cirque du soleil show in Omaha on opening weekend of archery turkey season to try and take some of the edge off. It better work. A guy like me shouldn't even know what that show is, let alone know how to spell it!
