Wisconsin pushing to extend deer season for returning servicemen

I just read about Wisconsin bill SB454, which would match returning active duty servicemen with farmers suffering crop damage so they could bow hunt from Feb. 4 through Sept. 4.

This sounds great to me! I'm wondering:
    1. what our Wisconsin members think
    2. if any other states are following the lead, or building a grassroots campaign to do the same in their state.

just Google SB454 to find out more

I'm for it, not sure if practice will work anywhere near as smooth as theory but they deserve it. and it offers them an opportunity for some "deep-woods therapy"

If it wasn't for them I don't think any of us would be hunting. If you don't like it enlist and you too can hunt from feb. thru sept.

I'm a vet from the Vietnam era, and a 57 yr old late in life hunter. I can just imagine a vet thinking, "they DO appreciate what I did!!", as he or she draws on a deer about this time of year. We came home to nothing.

    Awesome

Thats a great idea and just a fraction of what we need to give them in return for what they do for us.
