Is there any coverage of this event online or anywhere else? There is an Oregon girl there and I want to see how she does. Anyone?

Qualifications over. Here are some highlights (not everyone is listed)

  • The entire SR Women's Barebow made the cut.
  • SR Men's Compounds were on FIRE - Cousins #1 (with a 420 marked round... total score 29 freakin' points ahead of 2nd... sheesh), Wilkey 2nd (up from 7th... NICE), and Menzer a solid and consistant 5th.
  • JR Men's Compound (watch out world): Sean - 1, Adam - 3, Levi - 4. Woo-Hoo!
  • JR Girls Compound: Hunter - 4th
  • JR Girls Recurve: Heather Trafford - 4th
  • Vic is tied with Frangilli for 1st in the SR Rec Men
  • And SR Rec Women saw a couple of PBs yesterday and today, but these two are still new to this, so no cut for Nancey or Brandi (but still dang proud of them both).

We love you all and are cheering!!! 6 - 6 - 6...

Looks like the US men could sweep the medals with Cousins and Wilkey in the gold medal match and Rod in the bronze. Team went out early after being seeded fourth.

Vic was top seed after qualifications second after the first cut but fell to 6th and out of the medal matches in the 2nd round of eliminations

none of the recurve women made the cut to 16

Barebow women-none made it to the top 8 though Rebecca Nelson Harris finished 9th after the first cut

barebow men-none qualified (top 16) for the elimination rounds

compound women (when did this last happen) didn't have a single qualifier for the elimination matches (top 16)

The three Trafford girls all made the top 8 (4,5, 7) of the ten competitiors and Heather is in the bronze medal match.

in junior boys compound its USA v Germany in both medal matches with Sean in the Gold and Adam in the bronze

Hunter Jackson is in the gold comopund match

11 year old Hardy Trafford was last ( of ten) in JUNIOR men but given he's shooting against young men who are often twice as big as he is with several more years of experience he should win this thing a few times before he moves into the adult ranks.
