    MN outdoor and indoor ranges

I would like to compile a list of all indoor and outdoor ranges. Indoor ranges more then likely will consist of archery shops. If you know of them great and if they have a web page list it along with a contact number. I talk to people all the time asking if they know of any place they can go shoot that would be close to there home town. I would like to get as many listings as I can. And then it would be great if we could get a permanent spot on here to post it. Other states could also post under same listing of this forum just as well. If some one would take the time to get that list together from that state. I know of a view places that I go and would love to know of as many as possible. Remember they must be in the state of MN and anybody must be able to have access to it. Please email me what you know of. With a small description of where its at. Or if its a club that lets the public shoot there send there web page or the name of club, number. When I have gotten a list together I will post it. You all then can copy it for you self. Thanks for helping mknolls@charter.net

Oh, and the outdoor range in Mankato goes to 40 yards. More to add, there is a 40 yard outdoor range at the Henderson Sportsmens Club in Henderson, MN also but you have to go with a member. Same with the Broken Arrow. There is also a 3D course and outdoor range at the Caribou Gun Club in Le Sueur. Oak Ridge Archery also has an 100 yard outdoor range as well as 30 target 3D course.

There were outdoor public ranges in Fridley, Shoreview and NE Minneapolis last time I looked. All are completely open access, bring your own target face setups.

The Fridley range is on the western edge of Locke Park behind Columbia Arena. 20 yards marked range but you could probably walk back to about 40. Very dense hay bales needing an arrow puller last time I tried it (2 years ago). On Google maps look here (45.094307,-93.25778).

The NE Minneapolis range is on the south side of St. Anthony Blvd, just west of Central Ave and some RR tracks. Soft hay bales needing a layer of cardboard to stop arrows from an adult bow. On google maps look here (45.024403,-93.249401).

The Shoreview range is off Lexington Ave on the old ammo plant property where they might put the new Vikings stadium. Never shot there.

www.averagejoesarchery.com has moved to a new larger facility in Coon Rapids. They now have a 40 yard range with 16 lanes. They will also be adding a TechnoHunt in the coming months.
