Hi, first time posting here but I've been lurking for awhile.
I'm looking to get into archery, and I know for sure I want to use a recurve bow; they may be more technically difficult but I find the style and bows more visually appealing. It'd just be more for fun, maybe some minor tournaments down the road, but no real big intention on going into anything more than that.
I've been hunting in the phone book and I haven't found a dedicated archery pro shop of any sorts here in Edmonton (lame) so I'm kind of been doing some hunting about to see what's a good investment.
I don't want to drop a lot of money at the start, no sense in paying for a bow that far exceeds my skill at this point. I'm eyeing the Optima system from PSE, or the Buckeye from there (both sold at Wholesale sports here for $170ish). Also considering the Martin Jaguar which I could likely order in from their online catalog. My price limit is $250ish and I'd like a bow that I can adjust/improve a little bit as I go on if need be.
So any starters, or suggestions would be great and very much appreciated!
Thank you in advance. =)
