    70 lb Z7 how fast?

I am buying a new Mathews Z7 and I will be shooting Easton Axis 340's at 29". The poundage should be 70 lbs or above with blazers and 100g tips. String loop and meta peep.

How fast do you figure I can get that arrow to go out of this stock bow?

Anybody running the same set up?

Under Ideal conditions and setup, probably between 290-295 fps.

Shooting same arrows through my maxed Z7 with 28" draw and arrows cut to 29 1/4", I'm getting 275fps which is a bit below IBO. I don't care though as long as it's close. I didn't buy this bow for speed. I am however sending it to Crackers so will see if we get anymore speed out of her.

    Z7

At 70# and with a 9.5gpi 28" Axis, 100gr tip, 420gr total arrow weight you should be about 288. If your Z7 maxes at 74# like mine, I'd say about 296.

I was really hoping to break into the 290 range but I will take what I can get. I also thought about trying my GoldTip ProHunters. I have them already and they weigh 375g with a 100g tip and blazers. I wonder how fast they would be. It is just killing me, the bow needs to get here. Man!!! I have plenty of other bows I just want my new one.

they will be weak, they're .400 spine. The 7595's will be better spined but heavier. If you want lighter go the the Goldtip Velocity Pro 300 or the CE Maxima 350 (not the hunters they will be the same as the Gt7595's.
