i find that the deer tend to move earlier in the evening in the rain. if nothing is going on in the woods, i like to hop down and do a little ground and pound! best time to stalk. good luck

We must have a different strain of deer here.

They seem to be about as enthused at moving around in it as I do. I've never had much luck in the rain.

i heard they will walk it alot because the gloomy dark rainy days resemble twilight, and deer see best and move more during twilight hours!

The only two bucks I had a crack at last year were encountered during a light rain.

I agree, light rain seems to be my ticket to the whitetail.....the real windy days though...I stopped frustrating myself with them

Deer will move in a light rain, now a down pour is different story. In any rain make sure you only take a shot you KNOW you can make. I hunt in light rain and have some great luck in it.

I see more deer on my way home from work when it's a light rain than I do on the real nice days.

light rain is ok. Heavy rain they dont like to go out until after dark , dulls thier smelling and other senses.
