I was wondering if anyone else is from Maryland on the forum. If so, what area and maybe tell us a little bit about yourself.

My name is Pat, I'm 29 and work for the state government as a Computer Network Specialist. I work in Annapolis and live in Baltimore City. I mainly hunt Liberty, on the eastern shore and a few private property areas.

I'm René, I recently moved to Severn, from NJ but made a pit stop in IA for a couple of years. I'm a contractor working at APG. So far, i've only hunted the patapsco bow only land. I'm hoping to learn some more land this spring and hopefully get a place to goose hunt as well. Where do you do your target shooting? I'm looking for a club to join in the spring.

Jordan from western maryland. work for the gov. primarily hunt frederick county just lost some awesome hunting ground on ft. detrick with all the controversy surrounding the hunting permited on area b. last year i took 7 deer of there with a bow at only my second archery season as a hunter.... this year only have 1 bow kill deffinitly miss my awesome spot...

if your looking for a new bow you gotta get to an elite dealer and shoot an elite best bows out there right now IMO. They have a back wall that is unmatched and out right unbeleivable and the customer service is unmatched.... an elite warranty gives you the ability to get a loaner bow sent ready to hunt TYD if something would ever happen to your bow on a hunt trip whether its your fault or not... not to mention they have the lifetime "transferable" warranty. smoothest drawing bows out and speed wise really are accurate as posted on website acording to how they rate them with draw lengths and such...

just to give you an idea how much i beleive in these bows... i was a die hard bowtech/diamond bows guy as of last week was looking at purchasing the new destroyer 350. So the dealer had me shoot the 350 was impressed being i had never shot a top of the line bow in any regard.... then he said now i want you to try this gt500 and wow one shot and i told him straight up first words out of my mouth "this elite is in a completely different league than that destroyer". then he told me to shoot the mathews z7 extreme i said "i said okay ill take the elite". I hadnt even went in too buy a bow just to shoot a few new bows and buy one used.... Literally took 3 shots with 3 bows and had my elite on order 5 minutes later. They said it be here in about 2 weeks. Ordered the bow on a tuesday bow arrived that friday... i couldnt be happier.

Josh. Im from Ohio But i now reside in Southern Maryland. I hunt St Marys, Charles, Calvert, and Ann Arundle. Not to bad hunting here in Maryland, but the deer aren't as big as they are up in Ohio. I want to get more in to archery, ive been doing it for a while but i have been way more into gun hunting, and now i think i am going to make archery my main focus.

Hey Josh welcome to MD. If you're interested, check out the Maryland Archery Association's web site for the shoot schedule, we got it all, FITA, Field, 3-d, and indoor. They also have a list of clubs. There are a bunch in southern MD, Southern Maryland Archers, Anne Arundel Archers, Twelth Precinct Archers(they also have a pistol range), and a couple more I can't remember off the top of my head. Also, I know our deer aren't Ohio size, but you can check out our DNR for info on where all the big deer were checked this year.

I'm Brian and live in Eldersburg. I used to work in Land Surveying/Civil Engineering doing CAD work making plans and what not but have been unemployed for more than a year now. :( I hunt in West Virginia on some property my Grandfather owns. I haven't really been bow hunting yet except once years and years ago but am going to try to bow hunt this coming season as I've been getting back into archery more seriously the past few years. I'm a member of and hang out at Mayberry Archers in Westminster, MD.

Connor, Baltimore. Moved to Maryland from Georgia last January... Good for work, not for hunting! Having a really hard time trying to find a club or lease, for any amount of money! Back in Georgia you could find a great club/lease in a heartbeat, anytime. I haven't hunted this LITTLE in years! Anyone got a lead on a club/lease?

Thanks!

Alan, Rockville MD. Stationed in DC (Coast Guard). Been here 3 yrs. Belong to Tuscarora Archers. I have not hunted here yet. No private land to lease and I am not a fan of public hunting.
