    Winchester Crossbows

Spent some time at the Winchester booth at the ATA show. They had the new crossbow lineup there and in the shooting lane. It is one of the most quiet crossbows I have heard. Sharp looking also. They are using Brownells Astro Flight

Yeah, a 2.5 lb trigger. Be careful with a glove on! It broke clean and felt good.

I didnt get photos but they have the specs listed on the website. I also have the specs in the catalog I have. The bows are unreal also. The quicksilver 31 was the smoothest bow I shot at the show. The trigger is impressive. Quality was not skimped in any way. If you guys have a question on a particular modle I can give you the info I have from the catalog..

From the photos it uses a flat nock but not totally sure.

I helped work the Winchester both at the ATA so I know all the info and specs on them so if anyone has any questions just fire away. Here is a pic of the stallion.the maverick looks the same as the stallion but it does not have a fold away foot stirrup. The mustang is similar to the other to but it has a composite barrel instead of a metal one. They all use a plunger system to hold the arrow down instead of a retention finger too. When the stallion is all done it should shoot 350 fps

The camo on the stallion and Maverick is called reaper woods and it looks relay cool!

The ones at the show were "heavy" as they were not production models. They told me June as well.

Glad to hear that it was not just me, after picking up and handling the Winchester crossbows ,I asked the rep the weight of the crossbows ,I was advised about seven pounds.
I asked the rep if he would be willing to bet on that weight, the rep just laughed and said no.

They made 5 demo stocks just for the ATA that way the stores would be able to shoot the crossbows and see how they are going to look since the crossbow stocks were not out of production yet.The demo stocks were made out of solid plastic making the crossbow weigh around 10 lbs.The productions stocks will be the correct weigh making the crossbows about 3lbs lighter. They will be shipping in june.

Makes sense now that you explained it:-), showing a product that does not yet totally exist. Manufacturing and product planning is tough.

Ecellent trigger and I liked the 4 point string latch. The weight and solid stock contribute to the noise level. I also liked the latch safety.

All the scopes are made by Hawke optics. The illuminated scopes in the second and third package are really nice!Very much like a XB-30
