What is the BEST bow ever made?
Whats the best bow ever made? It needs to be the best ALL around bow thats good at everything. Consistancy, balance, smoothness ,looks, quality, and reliability are the most important. Not this bows better cause it shoots 2fps faster than that one garbage.Lets see what everybody thinks without it being an all out war.

i have no clue what the best bow ever made is and I doubt many will because it is such a subjective question....i can tell you that my favorite bow is my 08.5 Elite XLR, it is insanely smooth, not too fast, but man does it ever pound the x's and is just all around fun to shoot.

This is an extremely subjective question, and a couple of weeks ago I would have said there is no such thing as the best bow ever, however, I have since shot the 11 Elite Pure, and I'm not so sure it isn't the best bow ever built.
I have never been a fanboy of any bow, but I am starting to think it is because I hadn't found the right bow yet.
LONESOME ELK ARCHERY TERRE HAUTE IN.

The English yew longbow. Simple, effective, and helped them conquer the world. Look at the battle of Agincourt where they defeated Frances' crossbow armed forces when they were badly outnumbered. It also needed a skilled archer and hunter to use it in the field. It is a lot more satisfying to stalk and kill an animal on an even playing field. That being said, I now shoot a Z28. Best compound bow I've ever owned, and I've had a lot of them.

Way too subjective a topic, as human senses and emotion are the basis of determination. The only way you could get a remotely reasonable response would be to gather as many bows a possible together in one place with a host of experienced archers and have them shoot each one. Even then, there would be sub-categories for smooth draw, hand shock, speed, appearance.....even physical dimensions such as length and mass weight. For example, a hunter may prefere an ultra short bow for treestand hunting and be willing to sacrifice some facets to get their "perfect" design. Conversely, a target shooter doesn't care about length or mass weight, because longer bows are preferred and they end up adding weight via a long stabilizer and v-bars. How could those two archers come close to agreeing upon a genre of bow, let alone a "best"????
Let me make a prediction........bookmark this thread and bring it back in a year. I am quite positive that some of the original posters will have changed their minds with the purchase of a new "best" bow that has not been marketed yet. Do the name "Invasion", "EVO" or "Carbon Matrix" ring a bell????
