    First Turkey Kill

well thanx to you good folks I scored my first Turkey this weekend 21LB Tom 10 1/4 beard and 1 1/4 spurs. I asked about setting up a Blind the same day as the Hunt was told it would be ok and sure enough it was. I set up, set my Dekes out and at flydown time had a Big old Hen clucking her head off at my decoys the Tom followed her into the set up and I shot him at 15 yards. looking forward to this weekend maybe get my second bird and fill my tag for the season. Turkey breast chuncks marinated in Zesty italian dressing and cooked on the Grill for diner tomorrow YUMMY

    Thanx folks for the help
    Joe

    Man-Law, you must share pix!

    Congrats on your bird bud!!!
An "archer" tries to see how far away he can get from his target and still connect. A "BOWHUNTER" tries to see how CLOSE he can get to his.

Congrats! If you're grilling him, make sure you don't overcook him or it will be like eating shoe leather lol.

    Congratulations Joe!
Are you in some part of Florida? The barred pattern on those wing feathers (mainly black with small white bars) looks to be an Osceola sub-species. I also see the deer cart in the background, used one myself this year and it worked pretty slick for carrying blind, dekes, weapons and all.
When in doubt, show up early. Think less. Feel more. Ask once. Give thanks often. Expect the best. Appreciate everything. Never give up. Make it fun. Lead. Invent. Regroup. Wink. Chill. Smile. And live as if your success was inevitable, and so it shall be.
    Good Luck hunting to all..
