I agree the Bowtech Assassin is a great bow. You can always look at the used market as well. There are some great bows in that price range in the classifieds on here.

Pick up a used Elite GT500 for around $400 then you have $200 to buy a sight and rest.

I have owned the bowtech assassin and it's a great bow for the money but I don't care for the grip much and it's a bit short a2a. I have the pse supra also which is a $600 bow (bare bow) and it's just fantastic.

2011 Black Ops Assassin I got for $599....(Black Ops was free!!!). THe stock accessories were good quality with no complaints...However, I had to change out the Hostage Pro with a QAD HDX instead for an additional $120 and a Fuse Carbon Connexion 6.5" stabilizer for $80!! I got a matching Bowtech bag for $80 as well just because I have to hide such beauty from those who just can't handle such a good deal!!!

I agree. If you don't HAVE to have a brand spanking new one , buy a used (1 to 3 years old) one. Save a ton of money , and usually you can end up with a top end bow , if you shop hard enough. (put it to you like this ... I'll never buy another new one)
