36 1/2" draw length...anyone know of a bow that will work?

A guy from our local forum said he need's a bow with a 36 1/2" draw length. I don't know of a company that make's or will custom make him a bow to fit. Anyone here know of one?

He must be in the NBA haha, that would mean he is over 7 feet tall if his draw length is 36 inches. Highest I have ever seen for DL was 32 or so???

    My God! Is he joking?
The time on the string will be crazy!
    How about a 6.5in D-loop?

I have not heard of a compound that is that long in DL. I don't know enough about traditional bows to say yay or nay on that long of a DL.

Holy cow, tell him to check into Oneida bows. The Medium ones are to 30" so I would imagine the long ones may come close. I wonder if this person really has been measured or what.

Wow using math this guy is about 7'6" or so? Thats gonna be tough good luck. After reading he is 6' 9" I would say 32" or 32.5" would fit him better.

    Vantage LTD with C.5+.

That way you could take him down to where he probably really needs to be.
The kill is the satisfying, indeed essential, conclusion to a successful hunt. But, I take no pleasure in the act itself. One does not hunt in order to kill, but kills in order to have hunted. Then why do I hunt? I hunt for the same reason my well-fed cat hunts...because I must, because it is in the blood, because I am the decendent of a thousand generations of hunters. I hunt because I am a hunter.- Finn Aagard

I think the Hoyt Vantage Pro goes to 34 inches or more..?

  13. #13
The Vantage series will get him to a 34" which should atleast be more comfortable then the 31" draw he is using now. I asked him if he's been measured for the 36 1/2" draw and im still waiting to hear back from him. Even for his size it seem's alittle long to me.

I'm 6'3" and shoot 29". Granted I don't have wide shoulders, but I would say he needs to be measured because that draw length doesn't seem correct.

    I am 6'6" and shoot a 32" with a 1/2 " d loop. I would guess 33-34 should fit him.
