Coons are nasty when hurt or hungry. And they're at least twice as smart as coyotes to boot.

    Awesome video find.

Coons are nuts. My dog gets into them once in a while pheasant hunting. Had a big old coon take three separate shots of lead shot without even phasing it. They are tough and crazy!

Wow they are tough. My Jack Russell had a three hour battle with one under a rock pile. She finally came out and had holes in her muzzle from being bit. Not sure of the racoons condition.

Thats pretty wild. I have seen coons about drown a hound before. Chased him in the creek and the coon got on the hounds back and then climbed on its head while swimming in the creek. Dog barely made it.
Many have asked. Does a scope and lens really help? Heck yes it does!! I miss a lot more accurately now.

Coons are some of the meanest critters in the woods... Had an old boar coon stand right up against our blue tick one night. He didnt even bother climbing the tree... All I could think was holy sh*t, that boy wants to fight... Ol Blue took care of him mighty quick but it was still a crazy fight

1 on 1 would have been a different story. And if that Yotes brothers and sisters show up those coons will be dinner...

Give them trees or water and the coons have the upper hand. And they're always near trees and water.

We had three during my childhood. An uncle was a logger and he'd bring home tiny orphans to bottle feed and raise. Wanna' see something funny? Give a youngster a sugar cube.

    Great Video,
And one on one Im betting on the coon everytime.

Buster of Xs I too had them as pets as a kid, they do make a pretty good pet..at least until they get a couple of years old, but even at 3 years old he would still come back to the house at night. knock on the door. yea I said knock. he would climb up on the screen door and bounce so it really sounded like someone knocking on the door. we would let him in and he would eat you could still pet him but not pick him up. never seen him again after that
