Area 9 kansas. Anyone have any property for a pair of begging bowhunters?

I had a friend drive up from alabama to hunt with me on ft riley. Only to find out that we didnt sign up for the archery access permit so he cant hunt ft riley. He still has license and a tag for unit 8, 9. Trying to find some wiha land that we could kill a deer on. He is pretty deep in his pocket to fund this trip only to find out the areas i had scouted he cant hunt so we are back to square one. If anyone has any private land that they would be willing to let someone fill a tag on that would be amazing.

Good luck with that. Money is always associated with private ground here in central Kansas.

what u mean central ks, its kansas as a whole. WIHA is the only shot u got unless u knock on the right door and here in kansas u almost have a better chance playing the lottery.

You might check out public hunting ground around Milford Lake if you haven't already.

I just asked a guy if I could hunt his land and he was all about having a bowhunter on it, oh yeah my cost is free and I Ann the only person hunting it. Never hurts to knock on a door. The property is just south of KC.

Never deer hunted it myself but a good friend comes back every year from New Mexico and he says there is. Tuttle Creek corps site says there's 12,000 acres on north end of public hunting. They're in the wrong zone for me to help out.

Guys I've spent several yrs hunting ks public areas on the reservoirs and it can be as good as any private land. There are some huge bucks on public land. If you don't get any private land offers go for the public. I think the Jeffery Energy plant is also in unit 9 and it has public hunting too. Between Milford,Tuttle, and Jeffery your looking at over 30,000 acres.

I did some work at ft.Riley a couple years ago and we scouted the public land around milford lake and it holds some good deer we sat one night till dark just watching the movement and i was suprised at the numbers of deer we saw.

Of the three places Milford probably has the most hunters but it looks absolutely awesome. I talked to a bird hunter friend of mine that actually got lost in that place. I've always wanted to go try it. The friend that hunts Tuttle is always showing us the sheds he finds up there. Incredible....He shoots a 150 class buck just about every year and only hunts for a week during archery season. Tuttle would probably be my choice also just because of his experiances.
