Just curious what draw length you are shooting at? My sig says what I'm shooting at and speed 310 was the slowest reading I chronoed.

Won't need a 70# bow for elk if you do your job. Just don't over bow yourself on whatever pound limbs you choose.

I won't go to 70lbs until after 2012 archery season. I really don't need to worry about elk because I live in Nevada and drawing an elk tag will take a long time or not. Depends on my luck.

It took my grandpa 39 years to draw a rifle tag but will take me about 10 years to get an archery tag. I will not go past 70lbs in my lifetime because 70 is plenty.

Well I am 14 and on my dads account and have friends that I shoot with and he shoots over 70lbs. I am going to stay in the 65 to 70lbs and will go to 70 when i am older so I will have that confidence of penetration and I have to put the arrow in the vital area. I am great full that you guys are giving this info and would like to see more from all of you veterans that have acquired all of this info.

I would like the confidence of a 70lb bow because these elk here in Nevada are slick, don't offer close shots and have been tough lately. Thanks for the info though and really appreciate it!

I think every pro series bow that pse makes comes with red and black stings but I am not sure what the main line bows have. Have to check the website.
