I know this is archery but I cant help myself

Springfield 1911 trp tactical .45. It is the tightest handgun I have ever seen. Absolutely nothing moves or rattles in the least. The night sights are pretty cool too . Im in love!

Seriously, comparing a "Glock" to a nice 1911, is like comparing a Yugo to a Cadillac. Both will get you where you are going, but one is a lot nice ride.

Exactly. I have lots of Glocks but a top end 1911 is a totally different class of gun. Glocks are like swiss army knives. They do it all and just keep on ticking. But man they are ugly and their girps have a lot to be desired.

Very nice 1911! I like it. My most recent 1922 was a Kimber CDP II 4" but I just didn't like the feel of it, so I sold it to a buddy of mine and started looking for another 1911. I've had nothing but Colts in the past but once I started looking around, I found that the Springfields were right up there with the best of them, assuming you don't want to drop $1500 + on a Ed Brown, Les Baer, Wilson, etc. The 'custom' offerings by SA are well put together, soild, tight, and accurate, with many 'match grade' components. I looked at the TRP and the Range Officer and they were real nice, but those big Bomar style rear adjustable sights would dig into my hand when manupiliating the slide or dig into my side when carrying it. I ended up geting the 'Loaded' version. All I had to do to it was replace the recoil spring with an 18# Wolff, and removed the full length spring guide with a Wilson short guide. It functions flawlessly and eats everything I feed it. Have fun with your new SA1911, you made a great choice! Good bye Kimber, hello Springfield.......

I have both as well, and dont care for the Glock trigger at all! I love the 1911...its everything I want in a hand gun.

OP..great choice! The TRP's are very sweet!

It was quite a bit more than I originally planned on spending. It wasn't cheap at ALL.
