2011 PA Archery Buck Mount Done

My taxidermist called and said my PA buck was finished. I was hoping to have my Ohio one done by this time as well but he did not start it yet. I have to pick it up Friday but he sent me a pick. This is a buck I passed up as a 2.5 year old and hoped he would get a lot bigger. He grew spread and his body blew up. Dressed out at 186 lbs. Here is a trail cam pic a few days before I shot him, a harvest pic, and the mount pic. This is the buck that had me tied in knots as I he stepped forward when I shot and my arrow also deflected off a branch. Hit him back further than I wanted and had to let him go all night. Found him the next day after searching a few hours.

Nice looking buck. It's nice to be able to watch a buck throughout the year and actually be able to get the one you want. Good job.
