Message for anglers, and pretty much everyone else...
This coming federal budget will see the addition of an omnibus package which will modify, amongst other things, article 35 in the Fisheries Act, causing the federal government to give up on its protection duties of freshwater fish habitat. http://www.cbc.ca/news/technology/st...ts-letter.html
I've checked with Twisted Canuck, who has contacts in higher places, and his contacts have confirmed this as another "trial balloon" by the CPC. Now, if we want to maintain quality fishing for generations to come, and the quality of our water supply for human consumption, I urge you to look it up, and contact your federal MP to let him/her know of your opinion.
Here is another link where Otto Langer describes the new wording of Article 35. http://www.pacificfreepress.com/news...rotection.html
I hold these to be the two greatest human values ever: Firstly, unconditional and universal love of all beings, and then, the sense of humour, with love giving meaning to our lives, and the sense of humour giving us solace from love.
"Humanity has evolved - as far as it has
evolved," continued the old priest " with no thanks to its predecessors or itself. Evolution brings human beings. Human beings, through a long and painful process, bring humanity." Endymion
