Stealth cam Skout 7
Does anyone have one of these? I think mine is junk, supposed to have a battery life of 10,000 images, but mine died last time in 3 weeks and only a couple dozen pics. Is anyone else having this problem?

Hmmm...another "I got what I paid for" thread...

I think so, I got it on sale of course. At the same time, when you pay $100 for something, it should at least work for a while. I can't afford Reconyx! If you can afford $500 for a trailcam you might as well just pay someone to shoot deer for you!

I tested a stealth cam against some of my homebrews a couple summers ago and it was a real dog. Probably the worst commercial cam I had seen.

I had a Stealth go bad right out of the box and their customer service wouldn't even return my phone calls, since then I go homebrew all the way.

My cams really don't shoot my deer, nor do I wish for someone to shoot my deer...in fact some years I don't even shoot my deer. Do some research on homebrews. Had you done some research on the cam you bought you may have learned that you were throwing your money down the drain.

interestingly enough, I have been messing with this camera at home in the backyard, I put in some batteries that I found laying around and they were all different brands. I have have the camera out now for 3 weeks and it has taken over 1300 pics and over a dozen videos and the batteries are still full strength! yet when i put in brand new energizers, I only got 70 or so pics and the batteries went dead in two weeks. Can you explain that one to me?
And if you can find a trail cam review on the Skout 7, I would love to know where it is, cause I have been searching...

I've had a Stealth Cam Skout 7 for 2 weeks. It is doing good. It has taken around 300 pictures. Battery still shows full. It takes great day pictures and good night pictures. I caught it on sale at Dicks for 89.99. I had a $10 off coupon so I got it for 79.99. I think it is worth what I paid for it. I don't have any big bucks yet, but I'll post a couple so you can see them.
