    So what is your.................

Since we have a favorite big game animal to hunt and eat thread, I though I may as well start simular thread.

So if you could only hunt and eat one small game critter, what would it be?

Without doubt mine is the mountain blue grouse. Fun to hunt and easy to kill.

Heck, I killed one with a rock one day.

Since they like to stay up in higher terrain, its cooler up there and the meat is so dang good.

A close second is the cotten tail rabbit. Man I love those things too. Fun to bowhunt as well.

But as soon as I can stick a big ole tom, my favorite just may change.

Whats some of you all's favorites?

if turkey is considered "big game" then thats it. i love that i can hunt them in the spring and fall and the way they call back when there mating is a huge rush. i only hunt with a bow so when there in close (6-10 yards) and you can hear the tom purring with excitement, its awesome.

Well this will be my first year hunting turkey's with a bow. I've killed them with a shot gun but I know its nowhere near the rush as it would be with a bow.

I don't consider turkey to be small game...so my favorite would be squirels and rabbits. Would love to get into pheasant hunting but there are not native to my area.

I love me some dove. Grilled dove breast with a little bit of lemon pepper and garlic. Wow......

My favorite would have to be cottontail. Quarter that rabbit up, marinate in Pepsi for a few hours or overnight, then bread it and fry. Great stuff.
