This thread will get very opinionated very quick with that being said I shot a 130 inch plus ten point this past year with a rage and was extremely happy with the damage it caused unreal blood trail with that being said "I hate" how the blades do not stay in place it cost me a nice eight point in Kentucky last year because I had to physically put the blade in place while the buck was 15 yards away and seen my movement

Agree with Kyhunter5569 alot of opinions! I have shot several deer with the rage 3 blade and they do leave a great blood trail! Deer didn't run very far. Shot placement is always a factor

I have had good results with them, but wish they could find a better blade retention system. I wouldn't want to stalk hunt with them, I would have to go with the Slick Tricks. For treestand hunting I love em! Out of this world blood trails.

Pulling them out of the quiver, or on twigs, or anything else that gets between the ferrule and back of the blade. They sometimes pop open when you don't want them to. If you are in a stand and don't have much around to snag them on, they are great. Never had one NOT open on the shot and have had pass throughs on all but one of the shots on deer. I just wouldn't want to stalk hunt through underbrush with them.

I didn't know they had a chisel point Rage out. I saw the new yellow ferrule 2.5" or something cutting diameter but not the chisel point. Are they on their website?

junk. shot deer with them they worked ok. shot a bear withthem and the blades never opened. try shooting sommething quartered. i had them just go along the ribs without penetration just a gash. switched to the new wasp z force. shot some hogs with them and loved the performance

I have also noticed quivers with foam uppers are a bad combo with the rage heads if you do use them it's best to use a open top quiver such as a g5 head loc quiver check them out if your going to use rage like I said unbelievable damage to the animal just watch out for the blades opening
I think I might be wrong but they have changed something's for 2012 that might hold the blades in place better

yea they are there the red ones they look awesome now if they would just drop the o ring and beef the blades up and the blade mount theyd be unstopable

best whitetail head i've ever used... I kill around 7-8 deer a year and hardly ever have to trail them down, most go down within sight of my stand.

I in no way think they're the sharpest heads by out there, and the open sometimes when putting them back in the quiver. But, when I'm up a tree with one loaded.. its death.

Attachment 1353268I use the 3 blade 100 grain and love em...huge exit wounds, good blood trail, and they dont run very far after hit...I wouldnt use em in a spot n stalk but from a blind or treestand they are perfect...will pop open in a foam insert quiver...here is a pic of some carnage from a head shot my hunting buddy did on a doe last year...

They're decent heads, the Ti's are by far the best Rage head....no problem with blade retention, never had a ferrule break and a MUCH slimmer ferrule design. Costly but better than the rest of their line.
