    Jalapeño turkey poppers

Anyone have a good recipe for this? At turkey camp our cook made these... They had creme cheese in them with jalepenos, turkey breasts and they were bacon wrapped. If anyone has a recipe like this please let me know!!

I made some like this but used chicken breast strips.

Cut pepper in half..lengthwise, and clean out. Put a few slices of green onions on that. Fill in pepper with cream cheese and top that with more green onions and piece of the meat. Then wrap piece of bacon around the whole thing. I smoked mine around 225 to 240 degrees. Don't remember total smoke time, but think it was only 45mins to 1 hr. Kept them on until the bacon was fairly dark, and the meat was cooked to about 165 degrees. They were fantastic!!

Best turkey I ever ate was made into jerky. Gonna have to give this a try though.

Another way to do it is to make a wrap with the venison or turkey...pound it flat, spread cream cheese, add sliced jalapeno, and wrap in bacon. Grill it up over the charcoal.

You could also add some cooked ground sausage to the middle...and/or a slice of pepper jack cheese on top when almost done.

shoot often, hunt safe, have fun
