Still may not be the US. If ( and a big if there) compounds get into the olys. you will see the other nations that mainly shoot recurve expand programs and all your supper shooters may get a shock. It is only inside of NA that recurves are the "lesser bow"

Was he on his game today?

If he was he doesn't deserve the #1 ranking.

American Brady Ellison's ..., ...whose latest initiative saw an agreement reached in June with the United States Olympic Committee to build a $14m, 40,000 square foot, state-of-the-art archery field house* at the US Olympic Training Centre in Chula Vista.

stick me in that situation and i wouldn't be able to hit a bull in the ass with a bass fiddle. congrats to all the U.S. athletes. they've worked hard to get to represent us at the olympics and, win or lose, they all deserve a big round of applause.
Can you point me toward the target, please?

I don't think any of the archery or shooting events have been televised. Most events this week are goin on between 4am to 7 am eastern time. NBC doesn't have coverage then to my knowledge.

SHPoet- I believe you have been called out here. I too would like to know what your highest accomplishment is? I can tell you that possum trapper is a national champion and I believe a national record holder. Myself I am only a NFAA sectional champion and have multiple state titles which is why I would never bash an archer such as Brady Ellison. (way out of my league). I can tell you from personal experience with Terry and Vic Wunderle that these guys (Olympic recurve) train a ridiculous amount of time that no compound archer can relate to other than the top handful such as Reo.

Dude, you guys have no idea...

It's a lot easier to try and win than it is to try and not lose.
