Decided I was able to buy a new bow earlier than expected so I started inquiring with local shops today. I knew I wanted an Assassin already. Most shops said $649 and had 2012's. I found a shop that had one 2013 right handed in 60# (the weight I wanted) for $619. I didn't really care what year it was but I liked the price haha. I went down and shot it a bunch and they set it up and made sure I was 100% happy with everything. This is my first time ever buying a new bow from a bow shop and I don't know why I waited so long. I always either bought used bows or bows from Cabela's or places like Dick's.
I love this bow! So much faster/smoother/quieter than the Bear Element I am shooting now. Came home and shot some more under the lights and at 20 yards I am about 5" high. Not bad considering I didn't even mess with the sights yet. I will fine tune it and get all sighted in this weekend. Some of that height could be the peep is bigger than I am used to and also this bow doesn't have a kisser and my current bow does. They offered to put one on but I said no thanks. I want to get away from using a kisser because I can never feel with my face mask anyway. We have 3 weeks left of the Pa season maybe I will feel comfortable enough to hunt with it. If not I will shoot it in the yard and enjoy it until I am ready .
