Have spoke with sales rep this week. To my surprise, they answered phone. They haven't had power in over a week due to hurricane sandy and now the nor Easter is creating more problems. The Winchester quicksilver 34 is going to be their flagship bow with totaling redesigned cams. They say its gonna be faster than the previous 340+. It's also gonna come in a couple of different color variation. Ex. Black/camo. They also filling in the price gap this year with te new Laredo. Also they are releasing something new that they are keeping secret. I asked was it all good, their statement was "oh yes" so guess we have to wait to ATA to find out details. The new SS should be ready to ship in hopefully 3 weeks depending on when they get power to start production and finish testing.
I would like to comment and respond to some of the posts on this thread.
First off, I would like to state that I am affiliated with Winchester Archery. Winchester Archery is in business and growing exponentially. We attended several shows this year including ATA, and will also be attending others such as the Kinsey Dealer Show as well as the Bowhunter Supershow in Cleveland next month. That being said, Richard Batdorf is no longer with the company and I am not privy to the details of his departure. With any company new or old turnover to a degree is part of building and maintaining a business with a balanced infrastructure, sometimes you must go through people in order to find the person that best compliments the team and the direction. We believe that our well-balanced team is in place and we have produced a stellar line-up for 2013. See our website www.WinchesterArchery.com to view our this years' models.
As for the inquiry regarding the QS that "mousetrap" or "lock-up", this is caused by bow owners moving the draw stop trying to achieve more letoff or draw length on a given module. The only reason the drawstop should ever be moved is to achieve more valley, not draw length, and that should be done by a professional. We have master bow builders/mechanics on staff that can be of assistance in bow tuning, or adjusting your draw. Simply call us for assistance.
The reason some of you have trouble finding our bows is mainly due to dealers dedication to products they prepurchased as part of their agreement to be a dealer. It is very difficult for dealers to bring in an additional lines when they are bound to "minimums" from brands that they need to sell now in order to recoup their investment. We understand this, and for this reason in 2013 we are offering our full line to wholesale distributors for distribution to the dealers in smaller quantities. These Wholesale Distributors are already being used by 95% of shops out there so shops can order a few selected models to meet their demands instead of commiting to buying the entire line.
As with any company, there are always bumps in the road especially going into a new industry. Winchester Archery is committed to producing quality and precision with everything we put out there, that includes excellent customer service. Feel free to call or email us, we'll be happy to assist you. Thank you for reading.
