Most recurve shooters just starting out shoot a ONE SPOT. Even at the competitions I don't see many shooting a 5 spot. I was watching you shoot last nite . You were doing great! Keep it up.

A good score is a point or two better than last time you shot. It all depends on where you're at. Two years ago staying on the paper was a good score. Last Regional Championship I shot a 295/300. In practice I've shot 300.

I would imagine it wouldn't be to hard to shoot a 300, if you were a solid shooter of olympic caliber. One day I will be there shooting 300's on a 5 spot . Or one spot.

Former PAA star Steve Robinson (who is about 60) won the Ohio State shooting a 298. Steve still can shoot 300's 30 years after he used to do it regularly as a pro. Michele Frangilli won the IFAA world title shooting 1200/1200 averaging about 55 spots a round.

In Ohio, I got third with a 280 or so last year and if you can average 295 you will place top three at NFAA nationals usually. My best is 298-our shop's best is a 299 and my old indoor range Darrell Pace shot several 300's with about 45 spots

    5 spot with the curve

298, 296 is where I was a couple months ago before I sold the curve.
