Have a few nice bulls with plenty of cows in the front yard almost every night in 39. What are you looking for in a unit?

I hunted in 12 a couple years ago, I believe that unit has been hardest hit by wolves. The elk herd went from something like 16,000 animals to 2,000 in a a about 5 years. I will not be going back anytime soon.

7,9,10,10A,12, all along that MT border the elk herd has been decimated. Sadly, those units had some of the best bull:cow ratios in the state, but not any longer. You can't hunt elk in Idaho in a non wolf gmu. They currently go hand in hand.
