    horton bone collector

    ive always hunted with a compound but out of the blue this year my wife bought me a horton bone collector cross bow. just wondering if any one has any experience with this crossbow and what can i expect from it. any imput would be appreciated

    I owned one for a short while. IMHO, it's a decent first crossbow that will allow you to decide whether you will stick with crossbows or not. It's quite loud at the shot comparred to some others in its price range. There are other crossbows in the $550 to $600 price range that are smoother shooting, lighter in weight with nicer triggers but you should be fine with it. Durability (lack of it) should not be a problem. The stock design did not feel good to me but that's a personal opinion. You may like it. Its the same basic stock design as Horton's Fury.
