    Barnett RAZR

Was just looking at this on their website. $ 1600 seems a bit steep!

Yes I agree. Looks like a nice bow though.

I think a lot of bows are overpriced. For example the Ten Point Vapor. I'm sure it's a fantastic bow......but $2K?!!!!! Sheesh!!

But like I said the Vapor and Razr look awesome! So Barnett and Ten Point fans please don't be mean to me.

Anybody's $1600 crossbow is not something I can even consider. I think Barnett is between a rock and a hard place. With all the crap you hear on all the forums, it is hard to take them seriously, but if they really decide to make a high end crossbow, it also would not be taken seriously if it was too cheap in price. I will say that I held the Ghost 385, and if it holds up and is reliable, it would be a fine crossbow. Compact, light, well balanced.

Well - pair that with a $1400 Velocity. Not too far off - BUT the $1600 is Suggested retail... Take the $1400 Scorpyd Velocities lately - lots going wrong with them, but people are still buying them... It seems as though Barnett is starting to pick up Quality with the newer crossbows these last couple of years, I was looking really hard at the Ghost 410 and the Razr, almost pulled the trigger (no pun intended) on the 410 but changed my mind at the last minute to the Velocity - starting to wish I got the 410, the voice in the back of my head now is always whispering "are you sure it's going to be OK?"

I just want to stress I'm not knocking those whom can afford a $2K bow and choose to buy one. Everyone has their own budget and everone's desires are different.

i think they have gotten a bad rap over the last few years because they put more effort into satisfying the customer, rather then satisfying the dealer.

Now that's a more reasonable price tag.

i like it, although iv never seen one in person.,
i like the reverse cam technology., but for the price,
the strykezone is easier to buy. 400 fps is fast as they come,
so youl need the best arrows, and a target that wont get
shot through in 2 months lol,
ill bet that bow shoots as nice as it looks, but my sz will do.

Edit-- did anyone notice barnetts website pictures the razr with string supression?
the one at bowhunters superstore does not have supression

a diffrent quiver is pictured for the 2013 model too.

Yeah, I noticed that too. It looks like strykezone suppressors will work on the razor, same way they mount them.

i think you would have to order the supressors from barnett, from looking at pics of the razr found on google,
it looks like theres no mounting holes for them., and i would never drill holes to fit the strykezone supressors
heres the ata show thread, with hi res pics of the razr, no provisions for mounting supression., but this bow could be a prototype?

Metallic, it depends on which pics you look at . The one I posted didn't have any, the pic you posted does have holes to mount like the strykezone mounts.

hmm, so its an option? i would think it either has them, or it dosent.
the barnett site pictures the razr with supression, the retail stores
that iv seen so far, dont.
and the chances of the stryker supressors fitting the razr without modification are slim.
i dont think there should be any uncertainty about details, no matter how small,
especially on a top shelf crossbow.
regardless, im shure the razr is awesome, id love to own one.

This is my guess: They haven't released it yet, and they have a few prototypes that they took pics of and now they are deciding on the production bow. On the new ghost models, the suppressor brackets are built into the carbon riser. Maybe that will be the end result.
