    West Kentucky wma

Anyone have any tips for me on this wma. I will be going down for the bow season opener on Sept 7-13th and obviously AT and topo maps is my only method of scouting although I'm gonna arrive the night before to scout that Friday. 1 day is simply not enough. Any tips guys??

I think you're talking about ballard co. WMA. West ky WMA is in McCracken co. Plenty of straight trees there. Never deer hunted there but have been there for hunt test for dogs. Looks like there would be plenty of deer. That's all the help I can be.

KY has a lot more private than public on west side with no WIHA. That and a one buck limit with short gun season equals= nice deer!

There is a lot more public land on the eastern side of KY vs the west. You might could check into the eastern portion. West KY is mostly private

We really don't have many deer here in eastern KY! Better try Indiana!

Any of you guys hunt Daniel Boone Natl Forest in E KY?

Areas that you have to sign in for each day, and wear orange are good. They're not open on gun hunts.

You will probably have better luck at LBL or Clarks River WMA.
