    2014 Bowtech?

Any word on new Bowtech bows for 2014?
I imagine they are keeping the Experience, Insanity and Insanity CPXL.
I am having a bout with AADD (Archery Attention Deficit Disorder) and was looking for a new bow. D350 or Experience are top choices so far. I like the draw of the D350, but it is still a three year old model revamped with new finish. Experience shot very dead in hand and quiet, but I am still a bit of a speed fan. Ironically, I found a "left over" 2013 Experience that the shop will sell to me for $650. Fortunately (or unfortunately) a $995 car repair bill has held it in check.
I hate to buy one in the next two months and then see what is coming out later.
Please no sniping by fans of other brands.

Yes, I'm a Dinosaur.... Heavy draw weight, and fixed blade broadheads. No one ever complains about over penetration.

You are looking at bowhunting bows and all they have to do is stick a deer at 20 yds so keep what you have and hunt with it. Getting yourself a target bow for your daily shooting and possible 3d if you shoot tournaments is where you should be spending your money instead of getting another hunting bow. Target bows are just awesome to shoot and you will grow as a shooter way more shooting one. I can pick up my hunging bow any time and smoke a deer but it doesn't compare to the target bow experience.

I hunt with my guardian and my destroyer 350 and I shoot daily with my specialist and shoot tournaments with the specialist.

By the way if they screw around and drop the specialist or don't put some effort in improving their target bow I am personally going to kick whoever is in charge in the shin.

    Bill,

    Shame on you!

You've been around long enough to know that no matter what or when you buy -- you'll be second guessing yourself as soon as the next model is released.

If you buy as soon as the new models are released, you're buying a pig in a poke -- never know all you wished you did about that model.
Wait 6 months after the release -- read all the reviews to make a choice -- and you're only 6 months from the next latest and greatest.
Then there are those that place an order before they even know the specs of what they're ordering.

Whatever you decide, hope it works out for the best.

I'm guessing that the major manufacturers have these things figured out. They just tease you enough to part you from your dollars, and they do it every year.

I would expect to see a carbon flagship from them. I believe they wanted to release it last year but it wasn't quite ready therefore just the Experience was released.

I have also heard they are dropping the target bows and moving forward with hunting bows, this is 100% hearsay so don't take it as truth. I think it would be a bad move to not have any target bows in the lineup but it's all about sales. They keep things very secret so nobody knows for certain what's coming or going as of now.

I'm thinking carbon flagship bow. Retain the Experience, maybe add a 6" BH version, and the end of the Insanity's (based upon 2yr cycle).....

It's a shame that they're abandoning the target market. I went with PSE for my target and 3d bow because of it.
My Invasion is still my hunter. I'd love to see Bowtech into target and 3d more than they are.

My discussion with Mike Stroff about the new BT's where about the commitment they have into research for carbon bows.
They didn't spend all the time and money on carbon technology to make one mid-level bow.

I'm holding out on the flagship carbon that they'll be unveiling for 2014.

My guess will be two carbon bows one shorter ata and one loner ata (like replace the insanitys). Keep the Exp.

My hopes is a 35-36 ATA carbon bow with 8inch brace height true IBO 335-340fps and reach 32'' draw length. Or 36 ata 6inch brace height 355fps ibo and reach 32'' draw.

In my opinion if Bowtech would put some top shooters on staff and put some contingency money out there they could have a very successful and popular target lineup like the other big guys. Fact is they don't so I could totally see them scrapping the target bows from the lineup.

Carbon CPX, Carbon core split limbs, ODB cams, 32" ATA, Flex roller guard, and 350ish IBO. If that happens I will probably be getting a new bow. Lol.

I've heard the Insanity is done. Local shop tried to order left hand insanity and was told they didn't have anymore and wouldn't be making anymore.

I've also heard rumors of the Specialist demise.

Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn’t matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle: when the sun comes up, you’d better be running.

I agree Tony, they need to not only keep the Specialist, but expand their product line. I for one would love a 41" ATA Bowtech with some form of OD Binary cams and a 7.5"-8" BH along with 65% letoff option. Soooo easy to tune perfectly with the dual yokes, and would be a pleasure to shoot. But, I think its more likely they will drop their target line completely. BUT you never know, they have a new CEO running the show. The same guy that turned Savage arms from a lower quality cheap rifle maker into a top of line firearms manufacturer. If he could turn Savage around like that then he will hopefully do great things with the Bowtech lineup. I would S!@# myself if they did come out with a bow like I described above. I would pre order it immediately!

I'm glad I bought my Cpxl when I did.. I heard insanitys and assassin are gone.. flagship carbon bow for Bowtech? Probably...I would love to see a 34" - 7.5" brace with odb cams with an ibo around 335 fps..and I don't care if its carbon or not. I personally don't know how they will top the Cpxl..
