I've only shot the Elites. I was very impressed though. I will be shooting the PSE's and Hoyts before making a purchase, but they'll really have to impress me to keep me from buying an Energy 32.
Elite Energy 32 Ninja 29/70 Trophy Taker Smackdown Pro Tommy Hogg single pin Stan Black Ice DS release 417 gr Axis 340 at 297 fps

If you used crosshairs to aim and shoot it, it wasn't an archery kill. A bow doesn't have a trigger guard. Keep crossguns out of archery seasons.

Who has the best bow for 2014 so far???

I seem to always go back to Hoyt. I really need to save my money, stop buying bows and stick with them.

Looking forward to see what Mathews has as well .

If I buy another new bow this year, I will probably be getting divorced.

That being said, I will take a real serious look at the carbon turbo from hoyt. I have a Vector Turbo and a Carbon Element and a PCEXL. I will probably have to sell the VT and the Element. I've shot the others and like above, always go back to Hoyt.

Most of them are just talking about how great they are. seems to be only a few 14's out to shoot. how can so many decide with out shooting them?

elites has there energy in dealers 's I shot one of those. Got one on order

    prime has a few out

    Might be others

I like to shoot that Hoyt factor

For me it's cam system related. I like the cam 1/2 that Hoyt has and I like Mathews solo cams.

I like to shot that z5 cam, I was a big fan of the old z3 cams. But being a left hand shooter might cost me a grand .lol

Not sure about '14, but the '13 Bear Empire I picked up has exceeded my expectations. Quick, quiet and I'm not sure how to explain it, but it allows me to get on target accurately quickly. I was just out shooting, taking quick shots at 30 yards. It must just fit well, because I was shooting 2 inch 3 arrow groups at 30 with an on target, release rythym. I've shot worse groups taking my time with other bows. Not faulting other bows, just impressed with the way this Bear works for me. I think overall that the manufacturing processes are better, tighter tolerances, that it's hard to go wrong with most manufacturers - if the bow fits you well. I haven't got my hands on a '14, except an Elite. It was vibe free and a sweet shooter.

I only have one way to vote. I haven't had the chance to shoot anything in the 2014 variety except a couple of PSE bows and they were 2" too long in draw length, so I voted "other please specify". I'd be willing to bet, this early in the ball game, that most of the voting here is from looks or brand loyalty, and not real shooting.
Holy son of a gun....I'm down to only one bow now. I'm ashamed of myself

I just got a Forge Ventilator four weeks ago. I work right down the road from the factory and got to shoot the owners and fell in love with it... coming from an Elite Pulse. How can you not love the specs?

    Axle/Axle 34"
    Brace Height 8.25"
    DW 40/70lbs
    DL 28-31"
    Weight 3.7lbs
    Speed 325fps
    MSRP $699

Mine is set at 28" draw 63lbs and using a 100grn tip. I'm shooting 280fps and I'm having the most fun in years shooting this bow, it just works!

Don't know, I haven't shot every single 2014 bow yet

  25. #25
Without shooting them I do not know, but the Hoyt line looks awesome. If they shoot as good as they look they will be very good. I'm sure some others will make some good bows too.
