Call me a moron but I gotta ask, other than cool looks, what difference does it make if its a split limb VS a solid limb ??

(Honest guy I really don't know, but its our secret ok.)

Retail price on the split limb x10 is $799. What your local HCA dealer does is on them. $725 isn't even a legal advertised price per HCA.

Not a dumb question. The cams are different. The x2 cam is on the split limb and the TRI 2 cam is on the x10 solid limb. The x10 split limb is slightly heavier than the sold limb. The x2 cam is a modular cam system. The Tri 2 cam is a sliding module system. With the x2 cam there is a yoke system which eliminates cam lean vs there is natural cam lean in the Tri 2. The x2 cam is a little faster than the tri 2 cam.

I have never used a cam like the X2. Can you explain how it eliminates cam lean. It seems like since the yolks are connected through the donut there would be no way to adjust one side of the cam without the twists traveling through the donut and affecting the other side, this making the process futile. What am I missing?

Its a slip yoke system. When the bow is drawn back, it applies equal amount of pressure on both sides of the cam so the cam stays true and doesn't lean. The x2 cam is a modular type cam. Which basically means is draw specific.

But that only works if the limbs are exactly the same right, so again no ability to adjust that compared to a traditional yolk system. Just making sure I understand.

    Thanks,

The limbs are the same deflection #. The yokes attach to the cams not the limbs. If you were to adjust one side of the string yoke, the yoke will slip finding center. So the real only thing you are doing is changing the cam timing by doing that.

I just shot this bow at a local bow shop. A guy walked in and asked if I wanted to shoot his. What a surprise. Smooth, quiet, dead in my hand, and crazy fast. Pretty impressive.

Is this a dual sync setup like the new Dartons...? Was checking out the new 3714 and the system looks eerily similar to each other. I am liking it and would rather have HCA on the limb than the tatoo like darton emblem.

The 3714 and the split limb x10 are both dual cams. But they are not the same cam. The split limb x10 is a x2 cam from HCA.

As far as one cam being faster then the other both solid limb and split limb bows have the exact same spec....I.B.O 340..... I'm guessing the feel might be the difference??
